More than ever, North Hills Church is committed to fostering a family of faith, built around being disciples of Jesus and multiplying more disciples of Christ. As we move forward as a church family, everything we do is meant to point people to Jesus, prioritize building his kingdom on earth, and to love God and love all the people He created.
We dream and strive to see many in Phoenix and the surrounding communities living healed, whole, and undivided lives outside the walls of our church because of our commitment to gospel-centered, relational disciple-making.
We believe that salvation, identity, and purpose in Christ is the greatest gift anyone can receive, the answer to the world's problems and the greatest adventure of all. We disciples of Christ will be living life on mission, will reach the lost boldly, connect to the church relationally, lead our families faithfully, serve the city compassionately, and engage the culture boldly. We recognize that a vision is not about what is happening now, but what we believe could happen if we, as a church, Christ's gospel equipped people, move from seeking Jesus to serving Jesus through the gospel.
At North Hills Church, we envision every member sharing the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection spontaneously and boldly with a personal testimony of Christ's work in their lives. We envision that this will not occur as an isolated event but will characterize our lives weekly if not daily as we experience the gospel and treasure and respond to our relationship with Jesus our Lord and Savior. We live in eager expectation that we will see thousands in Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria, Cave Creek, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley lovingly respond in repentance and faith to Jesus’ invitation to follow Him.
We envision becoming a church centered on a transformational community where many participate deeply in our small groups, Regeneration groups, family groups, family trips, mission trips, and serving teams. The environments we create are a safe place to visit, yet a dangerous place to stay because we are purposeful, investing in one another and we will love, encourage, shepherd, train, forgive, serve, and minister to one another. We envision fathers and mothers living out the roles for which God created them. We dream of seeing scripture fulfilled where children's hearts are lovingly turned back to their parents and parents turning back to their children. We envision parents being spiritually equipped and excited to faithfully lead their families as they disciple their children, pray for and with them, and study the Word and worship together at home. To these ends, we will equip not only parents to do this well, but will also equip and encourage our God-given singles, empty nesters and grandparents to participate actively in this vision through community living and relational disciple-making.
We envision serving Phoenix and the surrounding communities prominently and with compassion, through regular participation in the life and rhythms of our community. We dream of partnering with other churches and organizations for service, proactively seeking places and ways to see all people prosper and grow, regardless of distinction. We envision helping all our people—youth as well as adults—to discover their unique design so that they are equipped to engage culture as missionaries boldly and intentionally. We envision our church being a sending organization of missionaries, prophets and priests, to their workplaces, their places of recreation, their friend groups and their positions of online influence.
We as a church will be a people of celebration, joyfully looking forward to Christ's return and his kingdom fulfillment, while celebrating the foretaste of his kingdom we experience together now. We will be found faithful stewards before God our Father, by our faithful presence in the world where we model gospel life and affirm the goodness of God’s creation.
Our Mission:
The Church is instructed to be God's instrument in the world for healing and restoration. As a Church, we are to live out the great commission and love the world as Christ's ambassadors. The Church accomplishes this mission when we make disciples of Christ and equip the saints to love and minister to the world, multiplying his Kingdom through the hearts of men and women. God's people are a people of repentance, because Christ said it's not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick so as we await on Jesus’ return, we will be for the good of our city(jeremiah), we will seek to see healing happen, health restored, and our communities thrive. We have a recovery ministry, family ministry, and regular worship to affect this end. We will serve our communities needs with joy to love our neighborhood with ministries serving foster care - men - recovery - marriages - and raising the next generation.
